As most of you know there is a bill going through the senate right now on wording and getting approval for main vote. The house of representatives are scheduled to do their own hearings in a few weeks. It comes to a shock to me that I don't see that many equality groups switching the fight from Gay Marriage to rallying support for ENDA. The only group that even touched based on it, is the HRC. 

I totally understand that Marriage Equality is important to our LGBT Community but ENDA is just as important as the hate crimes law. To me were trying to put the cart in front of the horse by pushing marriage equality when we have bills in congress that would stop years of discrimination in the work force. Right now there are 20 states that are allowed to terminate an employee because of their sexual orientation and 38 states that allow employers to terminate based on homosexuality, transgendered or anybody that refused to keep it in the closet. YES they are making LGBT Community people stay in the closet!! 

This right here pushes things back on the human equality movement extremely. Also maybe there are alot of people that don't know that this legislation is getting so close to a vote into law, or even dying in the halls of congress. I am calling on all Equality Groups along with my hubby Link Putang to start rallying the troops and transfer our focus to ENDA. If we don't do this the right wing has us where they want us. Fighting a war that were not going to win this year, why they are about to pass legislation or even kill it that would protect our every day rights of being who we are in the work place.  ENDA would give us the right to be who we are born to be in every day public life. 

It is very crucial that we start getting on the band wagon with ENDA and put Marriage Equality on the back burner just for a while. 

Call or email your rep and tell them to support ENDA ... Tell them we demand protection at the federal level!!
