We have been protesting, marching, and lobbying our congress people, and from what we are hearing from Rep. Barney Franks DADT is slated to be in the topic of the Department of Defense bill slated for 2010.

Apparently anytime a Military change in policy is discussed its included in a overhaul defense bill. This kind of bill is scheduled to be discussed in 2010. But will we see the end of DADT?  Well Rep. Barney Franks has went on record saying he has been speaking with Nancy Pelosi's office, and other Reps. encouraging them to life the 1993 Ban on DADT. WOW!

Why I don't agree with Rep. Barney Franks on some of his ideas, and his way of handling LGBT Community issues, I will no say he is on our side. He is continually fighting for ending DADT and ENDA.

Even though it looks like the new Military Authorizaton bill will start conversation in early spring of 2010 Rep. Barney Franks said that he looks for discharges to be stopped with an executive order very soon.
