Church Flip Flops on Gay Group

Posted by Sheila Putang on Sunday, April 11, 2010, In : Gay Rights and Politics
St. Pius X Parrish in Billings Montanna had a Gay and Lesbian support group for their followers that met once a week, until this group invited a Gay man to speak about his relationship with his gay partner. The church said that by allowing it, it would say that it tolerates gay marriage.

Well of course its catholic and I am surprised that they even allow gays in their church. Read more on the story at the Advocate by clicking here

Does Organized Religion Want To Rule The World?

Posted by Sheila Putang on Saturday, March 6, 2010, In : Religion
I am not writing  this to you right now as just a LGBT cause but a cause that needs to be addressed by everybody not just gay, black, white etc. With many different things that have happened over the years it is seeming that its not just President Obama wanting to rule the world, but Organized Religion seems that they believe that they already do.

I remember a conversation that I had with my dear late friend Rev. Brett Harris during the time Maine was having there vote for Gay Marriage. He me...

Catholic Church Gone Too Far over DC Gay Marriage

Posted by Sheila Putang on Saturday, March 6, 2010, In : Religion
Before I write any more, I want to say I have a lot of Catholic friends, and I am not anti Catholic. I am anti any kind of religion that thinks there damn God!

The Catholic Archdiocese of Washington DC claims they will stop all Social Services in DC in dispute over the new Gay Marriage Law. Not only did the jackasses threaten it, but they have already stopped their foster care services. They are leaving innocent less fortunate children with out services! They need to wake up already and get o...

Prop 8 Federal Court Challenge

Posted by Sheila Putang on Saturday, January 16, 2010, In : Gay Rights and Politics
Well the time has come and the LGBT Community is seeing its first Federal Court Challenge over Gay Marriage being overturned in California. It really amazes me as how the LGBT Community has pulled together to support Prop 8 and it also disgusts me that we still have so many selfish people in our community. I still don't see the major turn outs for other causes such as ENDA, but oh well lets get back to Prop 8.

If you remember right California was the 2nd state in the United States to allow ga...

Mexico City Approves Gay marriage and Adopition

Posted by Sheila Putang on Friday, December 25, 2009, In : Gay Rights and Politics
First I just want to say I never thought we would see this coming. A country just about 10 years ago it was almost unheard of to be gay. Gay bars were kept in some what of secret and were raided by police. Now the largest city in the central American world has made a huge leap that the United States is scared to make.

I am very happy for our Mexico Brothers and Sisters. They are giving the freedoms of every other citizen in their country. Its a great time to be very joyful and happy. Congratu...

Same Sex Marriage - By Gary Konecky

Posted by Gary Konecky on Friday, December 11, 2009, In : Gay Rights and Politics
I recently had the wonderful privilege to participate on a very distinguished panel of clergy that discussed the issue of sexual orientation and scripture. One of the audience members asked a question that attempted to link the ban in Leviticus on homosexuality to the ban in Leviticus on bestiality. Several panel members addressed this question. Then the audience member asked it again, which I take as unwillingness to listen or to accept the pro-gay explanation that was offered.

This brings up...

I couldn't Sleep - By Megan Bunger AKA "Baby Putang"

Posted by Megan Bunger AKA Baby Putang on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, In : Gay Rights and Politics
It's 2:46 am -- and I can't sleep. I've been up all night trying to understand my failed marriage. We stayed together for no other reason than just to have somebody. Our crappy marriage ended soon enough that it didn't hurt my son to see "mommy and daddy" fighting all the time. We couldn't function together. It seems so silly that our country, one of the most technically adavanced countries, is the furtest behind in civil and equal rights. We'll allow disfunctional straight families to raise ...

State of Maine's Outcome on Gay Marriage Vote

Posted by Sheila Putang on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, In : Gay Rights and Politics
As all of you know by now Maine had their election last night and voted to put a clause to their marriage law that banns gay marriages. I know this is a sad state of affairs to loose this state in our cause but we must not give up hope. There are many people in Maine that are thinking positive and have counted this as just one battle, with many more to be wage. The fight is not over in Maine.

I was in a chat room last night for this election and was totally floored to hear some of our fellow ...

Texas Battle on Gay Marriage Looms
Published: October 3, 2009
A state judge paved the way for a court battle over a ban on same-sex marriage in Texas when she ruled this week that two men married in another state can get divorced in Dallas.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/03/us/03texas.html

This judge does earn her props for this one. More justices need to be like her, and interpret the Constution for what it actually means and not for what the radicals want it to mea...
